Our campsite is perfectly located in the heart of the landing beaches, in the charming fishing town typical of the region, Port-en-Bessin. Camping Portland is just 600 meters on foot or by bike from the city centre, offering an ideal position for exploring Normandy. This beautiful fishing port invites you to stroll along the quay, buy fresh fish at the fish auction, and enjoy evening dinners with stunning views of the colorful boats. The majestic cliffs surround the port, offering the opportunity to stroll all around this picturesque place. When the tide is low, enjoy magnificent walks on the beach and among the rocks.
In the village, all the necessary amenities are at your disposal to make your stay a real success: supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, doctors, and much more.

Every five years, the Blessing of the Sea emerges as one of the unmissable highlights of the charming town of Port-en-Bessin. This popular event pays poignant tribute to the fishermen lost at sea. The inhabitants, deeply attached to this celebration, prepare it with dedication for months. Thus, you will have the pleasure of admiring magnificent boats decorated with colorful flowers.
Every summer, from the beginning of July to the end of August, Fridays are lit up by a spectacular fireworks display from the majestic Vauban Tower. Before this celestial spectacle, a stroll through the night market is a must, followed by dinner in the port's many picturesque restaurants.
Another unmissable event is the annual meeting of flower lovers at the Château de Chènevière. The numerous exhibitors invite you to discover or rediscover a plethora of floral varieties.
Port-en-Bessin remains an enchanting town, inhabited by generous people who have delicious moments in store for you. You will also be close to other magnificent tourist sites such as Bayeux and Arromanches.
Please note that our campsite is perched on the cliffs, requiring approximately 15 minutes to get down to the town center and 35 to 40 minutes to get back up to the campsite. However, the panoramic view available to you will be simply impressive!
